Marc-Henri Bacqueyrisses creates the company DEFIS in 1989: Company multiservices having for principal center of activity Defense, the district of western business Parisian.
EIn 1989, the festival of the bicentenary of the French revolution and the inauguration of the Large Arch at the time of G7 mark the beginning of a new life for the district of Defense. This one sees arriving of the thousands of tourists and, one year later, the symphony of images and sounds of Jean-Michel Jarre attracts 2 million spectators.The movement is created. The Defense became one of the most visited sites Paris area with 500 000 people per year "Large window open on humanity", the Large arch marks the result of the axis triumphal "the Defense-Bastille" which testifies the 2 000 years of history of Paris.

The EPAD (Publicly-owned establishment of the Installation of Defense), created in 1958, is conscious of the curiosity which the places inspire and seeks to return this district of modern ultra business in an increasingly alive place, cordial and convivial. A point of information is installed on the square of Defense so accomodating many visitors and especially the tourists increasingly more. The places became impossible to circumvent with their 70 monumental works of Calder, César, Miro, Raynaud or Takis and well of others.

It is in this context that Marc-Henri Bacqueyrisses answers a new request: the creation of products derived from Defense. The very first shop of the company DEFIS, "Defense Souvenirs ", today Royal Memories, is inaugurated in 1992. Located on the square at the foot of the Large Arch, between the CNIT and four times the regional shopping centre, it is on an important punt forms tourist passage in the heart of Defense.
It is the starting point of a tourist adventure which continues still today with the opening of other stores on prestigious spot of Paris and Versailles; creation in 2004 of Memories and Patrimoinesociété of creation and design of medals of collection and memories, for France and Europe.
The Defis company became the DEFIS Group and created, in 2006, its Internet site of purchase on line for private individual and professionals, site which took new a esor with the mid arrival 2007 of Bruno Castagnetti, specialist in the internets sites.
